Experience

I attended the University of Alaska in Fairbanks and lived in Alaska for about seven years. I loved Alaska, but changes brought me to settle down in Grand Blanc, Michigan. I am originally from China; I grew up there and obtained my Bachelor of Science degree there. I love the Chinese culture and the Mandarin Chinese language. I find the language to be intelligent and melodic. I also enjoy traditional Asian music and the arts. I especially like poems and calligraphy, as well as movies and books. When I am working with a student to increase their knowledge and understanding of Mandarin, I will teach the student with legends and stories to help make it more magical and keep a student's attention. I will teach you about a culture that is over 5000 years old and through all of those things, your Mandarin will greatly improve. I am able to assist a student in Mandarin Chinese 1-4 and above, AP Chinese language and culture, special education, and more.In my spare time, I am currently learning American Sign Language.
